Ecommerce: Emilia Ceramics

In ‘08, we built a website for Emilia Ceramics based on the widely popular open source ecommerce platform osCommerce. The beauty of this website, besides that fact that it sells gorgeous hand crafted pottery from Italy, Mexico, Spain and France, is that our client really uses the custom features we built. We crafted a custom shopping interface with a telescoping left navigation and product thumbnails, built out a UPS shipping module, and created a special “about the artist” capability to highlight how special the manufacturers are.

With the beautiful interface we created, Emilia Ceramics can expand or contract or reorganize their store whenever they want. Emilia has had a lot of success with their wedding registry, so we added some additional features to support that part of their business as well.
